PowerHousing Australia Structure

PowerHousing Australia is a not for profit company constituted in April 2008 comprised of community housing providers across Australia.   

PowerHousing Australia operates as a peer network and business cooperative of high capacity, entrepreneurial, affordable housing not-for-profit member organisations.   

Through membership with PowerHousing Australia our members network and spread innovations that emerge from their local practice.  They will obtain capital that rewards their demonstrated performance and capabilities.  They will also create innovative strategies and cooperative ventures that respond to the rapidly changing regulatory, policy and economic environment.  

PowerHousing's business model is to include partnerships at many levels:
  • Local partnerships that bring together public-sector and private-sector leadership and resources
  • National collaborations among member organisations
  • Entrepreneurial partnerships among financial institutions, foundations, government agencies and our members 
PowerHousing Australia will combine and leverage public, foundation, and private investment to create dynamic opportunities that expand the mission impact and market competitiveness of its members.  Through these products and social enterprises PowerHousing Australia will provide value to its members and will build a sustainable economic model for the organisation.
