Vinnies joins group in call for housing help in Budget

The St Vincent de Paul Society is part of a coalition of welfare and community groups that has called on the Federal Government to commit to a $2.5 billion stimulus package for the housing sector in the next Budget, reports The Catholic Weekly. The coalition, the Australians for Affordable Hous­ing (AAH) has asked for an increase in rent assistance of up to $25 a week to help alleviate some of the housing stress in the rental market.  Read More...
